Terms of Service
Harbor Family, a Harbor Privacy product · Last updated July 2026.
By creating an account -- whether from an email invite or a family join code -- you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What this is
Harbor Family is a private space for one family, provided by Harbor Privacy (Pembroke, MA). There is no public signup. Access is invite-only: an admin invites you by email, or shares a join code that admins can turn off at any time. This is not a public social network, and we do not intend for it to be used as one.
Accounts and eligibility
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account. If you invite or create an account for a child, you as the inviting family admin are responsible for that account and for supervising its use -- the same way you'd be responsible for any account you set up for a child in your household.
Acceptable use
Harbor Family is for sharing with your own family. You agree not to post or send:
- Anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This domain runs Cloudflare's CSAM detection, and any such content will be removed and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
- Content that harasses, threatens, or abuses another family member
- Malware, spam, or anything intended to disrupt the service
Any member can report a post, photo, or message using the Report button, which hides it immediately pending admin review.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you're giving the rest of your invited family permission to see it, exactly as shown in the app (feed, albums, calendar, or messages). We don't use your content for anything else -- no advertising, no AI training, no sharing outside your family's account.
Your account, your data
You can download a copy of everything you've posted, deactivate your account, or permanently delete your account and content at any time from your account page. Details on exactly what's kept and for how long are in the Privacy Policy.
Family admins
Whoever invited your family is responsible for managing membership: sending invites, setting the join code, and removing members who should no longer have access. Admin decisions about who is part of the family account are final. We're not able to arbitrate family disputes over access.
Termination
An admin can deactivate or remove any member. You can deactivate or delete your own account at any time. We may suspend or remove access for anyone who violates these terms, including the acceptable use rules above.
No warranty
Harbor Family is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep it running and your content backed up, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
Changes
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
